Matt Damon Believes In Lindsay
|
Actor Matt Damon thinks actress Lindsay Lohan is very talented and will bounce back from her recent drink driving arrest.
The actress was arrested in July 2007 for possessing cocaine and driving under the influence.
According to her lawyer, the Mean Girls star is currently released on the bail of 25,000 dollars and is under medical attention.
Damon insisted that he had no doubt that Lohan would bounce back from her troubles.
"I think there a lot of people who want to help her out, and it's a very personal thing. Most people know someone in their lives that's struggling with a disease like that, and the reality is you can only support them and it's got to come from them - it's her choice ultimately, "Contactmusic quoted Damon, as saying
"I mean, look, she's very young, she's very talented; it's easy to look from the outside and say, 'Oh, you have this big opportunity.
"It's really hard to know that when you're in the middle of it, and to see life from any other perspective other than your own - particularly when you're that young. She's obviously hit a chord with people, because people are so fascinated with her, so everybody's pulling for her, that's for sure," He added.

Hilary Duff Fashions A Line For Michaels
|
Michaels Stores added another household name to its aisles this month with a fashion crafts collection from actress Hilary Duff.
Design-it-yourself fashion crafts under the singer/actress' "Stuff by Hilary Duff" label include trims, details and graphics to accentuate apparel and accessories. The line debuted in mid-August, supported by upfront stanchions and merchandised at dedicated endcaps.
Michaels promoted the line on the front page of its circular and at Aug. 26 in-store demonstrations, where customers could customize T-shirts and handbags with Duff's designs.
Duff also lends her name to teen apparel, home and beauty products under the "Stuff by ..." label that are sold at Claire's, Kohl's, Kmart, Meijer, Target, Wal-Mart and other retailers. The retail initiatives are handled by her brand management firm, the Robert Thorne Co.

Hilary Duff And Mike Comrie Make Cute Couple
|
With Joel Madden off making babies with Nicole Richie, we all wondered when Hilary Duff would get serious with a guy. And while they’re still in the early stages of their relationship, the singer/actress and her hockey player boyfriend look like they could make it last.
Apparently the two are very affectionate toward one another. According to a friend of Duff, “They’re always together and can’t keep their hands off each other.” And why not? They’re young and beautiful and in love.
Most recently, Duff and Comrie were spotted out and about in Hollywood on Monday night, before hopping a jet to New York City on Tuesday. Mike and Hilary looked cozy walking down Fifth Avenue holding hands.
Later that night, the pair was spotted having dinner in NYC looking as giddy as ever. It looks like the Lizzie Maguire actress may have found her knight in shining armor. Only his armor happens to be hockey pads. Hey, whatever works.

Britney Spears Pulled Over For Speeding
|
Britney Spears may be giving new meaning to life in the fast lane.
Sporting a blond wig and brown hat, Spears was pulled over in her white Mercedes convertible for speeding on Aug. 25, according to X-17 Online.
According to the report, Brit was headed east on Interstate 10 around 12:30 a.m. with two male dancers in the car when Highway Patrol attempted to pull the car over.
However, according to reports, despite the officer pulling up directly behind Spears with his lights on, she continued driving for nearly a mile before finally pulling off the highway and stopping at a gas station.
Once she pulled over, Spears was reportedly extremely cooperative with authorities and, after a brief conversation, she was let off with a warning.
According to X-17, Spears told the officers she was speeding because she was being chased by the paparazzi.
After the officers left, one of Spears’ passengers took the wheel and the car headed back towards Los Angeles, according to X-17.
In other Britney news, on Friday a source close to the MTV VMAs told “Access Hollywood” there is “a very strong chance” Britney will open the awards show at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Sept. 9.

Lindsay Lohan Back With Her Mom in N.Y.
|
Laying low following her July 24 arrest for DUI, driving with a suspended license and cocaine possession, Lindsay Lohan, 21, quietly made her way to mom Dina's house in Long Island, N.Y., on Friday.
She flew first class to Kennedy airport with sister Ali, 13, and is now in the arms of her mother, grandmother and younger siblings, the New York Post reports.
"She's doing well," Dina told the paper.
Lohan – who completed a 46-day stint at Malibu treatment facility Promises on July 13 – had remained out of sight after being released on $25,000 bond in Santa Monica, Calif. That arrest came after the mother of her former assistant, Tarin Graham, called police saying she was being chased on the road; Lohan was found behind the wheel of the SUV suspected in the chase, and failed a field sobriety test.
Still, Lohan has insisted that she is "innocent" and "did not do drugs."
The actress is due in a Santa Monica court Aug. 24, the same date she was to head to court for DUI charges stemming from her first arrest in Beverly Hills in May. At that time she was booked after crashing her Mercedes, and was found to have cocaine and twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system, according to a source close to the investigation.
Although it's unclear whether Lohan will head back to rehab, or where she's been for the past week, it may be a positive step that she's out of L.A., even for a short time.
"If you want sobriety, you have to change everything," Beverly Hills addiction specialist Marty Brenner told PEOPLE. "You have to change your friends, your crowd, your lifestyle."

Britney Spears Divorce Finalized
|
Pop singer Britney Spears and her second husband Kevin Federline have finalized their divorce and agreed to split custody of their two young sons, court papers showed on Tuesday.
But Spears's lawyer asked that details of the child custody arrangements remain sealed from public records, citing both media attention and the possibility of "criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain," according to papers obtained by celebrity Web site TMZ.com.
Spears, 25, filed for divorce last November from Federline, a dancer and aspiring rapper, after two years of marriage citing irreconcilable differences. The couple have two children -- Sean Preston, who turns 2 in September, and Jayden James, who turns one in September.
The marriage was the second for the former pop princess and came eight months after a brief three day union with a childhood friend in Las Vegas.
After filing for divorce, Spears embarked on a party life style that ended with her shaving her head and entering rehab in February.
According to TMZ.com. Spears' lawyer Laura Wasser asked the judge in the divorce hearing to keep private the details that relate to the specific timetable and transportation arrangement for the children.
"Such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the minor children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing the minor children to criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain," Wasser wrote in her motion, according to TMZ.com
The divorce was finalized on Monday. Wasser said details of financial support will also remain confidential.

The estranged father of Christina Aguilera has confirmed his daughter's pregnancy.
"I'm so excited. I want Christina to achieve all her goals. I wish her all the happiness in the world," grandfather-to-be Fausto Aguilera said.
This will be the first child for Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman.
"She's thrilled. She's feeling wonderful and taking good care of herself. She's been planning this for a while, so her health is better than it's ever been," a source revealed

"Adrienne and Ben helped keep John and Jess together for a long time," an insider says. “Every time John and Jessica have a fight, its Adrienne and Ben who help them reconcile." They really may have their work cut out now, and they may have to discuss seating arrangements.
The weekly entertainment magazine reports that although it was Jessica who played matchmaker, her next role could be as bridesmaid - the pal reveals that Adrienne and Ben, 28, are talking marriage. “Unlike Jess and John, Adrienne and Ben rarely fight,” the insider says. “They’re quite serious.”
