Lohan's Friends Say She Is Taking Career "Seriously" Now
|
Sources say Lindsay Lohan may have learned her lesson and may have put an end to her over-the-top partying-at least temporarily.
According to the New York Daily News, friends of the wild girl say they have noticed a sudden change in recent weeks. A friend says she has "heard everyone" and is "cleaning up her act."
"Lindsay is really taking it easy these days. ...she is focused on work and [boyfriend] Harry [Morton]," adds the friend.
Lindsay's partying lifestyle had recently left the producer of her new film "Georgia Rule" furious about her terrible work ethics. She would often show up late to work and treat others with little respect. But the producer sent her a strongly worded letter telling her to get her act straight-or else.
"It was a turning point," says the friend. "She realized it was a matter of either stepping up or stepping down."
"Lindsay took this seriously; she takes her career seriously. She has been going home early every night and [arriving] at work on time since the letter"

Timberlake Bans Lohan From LA Show

Justin Timberlake has reportedly refused Lindsay Lohan entry to his showcase concert in Los Angeles on Saturday, because he doesn't want the Mean Girls actress stealing his limelight.
The 25-year-old is set to perform new material from upcoming second solo album Futuresex/lovesounds, and is concerned Lohan could steal his headlines with her outrageous behaviour, reports British newspaper The Sun.
An industry insider says, "Justin's gig at the House Of Blues will be packed with Hollywood A-listers and a lot of important names in music."
"The last thing his label want is Lindsay getting drunk and making a spectacle of herself, taking attention away from Justin and his new album."
"He has a lot riding on his big comeback and doesn't need any distractions."

Martinez Defends Jolie
|
French actor Olivier Martinez has defended his Taking Lives co-star Angelina Jolie, insisting there's much more to her than just her stunning good looks.
The heart-throb was falsely romantically linked to Jolie during filming of the movie in Canada two years ago, while he was dating his current girlfriend Kylie Minogue.
Martinez complains too many people misunderstand Jolie, who was portrayed as a "marriage-wrecker" in the fall-out of her current boyfriend Brad Pitt's marriage to Jennifer Aniston last year.
Martinez says: "Angelina's much more than a ravishing beauty.
"She's an extraordinary woman who deserves to be loved for her humanitarian work and all she does for great causes."

Angelina Jolie Still Focused: Plans Return To Africa
|
Angelina Jolie could easily be forgiven as a do-gooder by her current circumstances. The new mom certainly has a lot on her plate. Jolie has a whole new ready made family that has just been formed in the past year.
She has three kids, a live-in boyfriend in Brad Pitt and a career that expands from Kung Fu Panda to Sin City 2, to A Mighty Heart. Oh - and she'll be promoting 'The Good Shepard in December as well.
But Jolie remains focused, reports Us Weekly.
The weekly magazine reports that Angelina met up with John Prendergast, a senior adviser at the International Crisis Group (an anti-war group), at the Dakota Restaurant at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on July 31, reports Us.
The pair met for lunch but Jolie had other things on her mind - a return trip to Africa.
The sexy new mom is still dedicated and wants to get back to her globe-trotting ways. "We (were) talking about her future trips to Africa," Prendergast told the mag.
The pair first met long before her relationship with Brad was made public as they were together two years ago on a trip to the Congo. He says that Angie is now "so much more focused."
That may now be a bit tougher as two years ago Jolie only had her son Maddox and now she has a new family with three kids and a beau.
But the energetic Jolie appears to be well on her way to again ramping up her ways of giving wherever and whenever she can.
